Old Town Modern

Much of our work takes place on Victorian-era buildings, but this Edgar Miller landmark in Old Town had a distinctly modern flavor.  The building, built in the 1880’s was re-imagined by Miller in the 1930’s.

Vandals had repeatedly damaged the large leaded glass radiused window at the ground level entrance, and the owners sought our help with a way to protect it, without destroying it’s distinctive look.

After considering a number of alternatives, we recommended, designed, and installed the solution shown in the photos.  A large cover of bent laminated glass, thick enough to be self-supporting.
