Hope and Change in Hyde Park

In this 1907 courtyard building in Hyde Park, one of the condo owners valued the charm of his vintage wood windows and interior, but was freezing in the Winter. We provided extensive repairs, weatherstripping, and new low-e storm windows, allowing the original wood windows to function smoothly while providing modern energy-efficiency, all while keeping the vintage charm. On the exterior, we removed the damaged aluminum coil covering the original wood trim, and the failing triple tracks, repaired decay hidden underneath, painted, and calked. (Aluminum was left on the front for consistency with the rest of the building).
