Porch Protection

The owners of this North side home in Ravenswood had set up their enclosed front porch as a sunny home office.  However on the coldest days of the year, the room could not be kept warm enough to be comfortable.  They were looking for a solution that did not alter the vintage appearance of the home, or change their charming original casement windows.

We built 12 traditional wood storm windows of old-growth pine and low-e glass to seal out drafts and provide extra insulating value.
