Taming a Turret

Radius windows containing bent glass are not uncommon in Chicago.  They require extra care to be put back into good condition. These two windows are in an upper room of a four square on the North side of Chicago.  The owners wanted them completely stripped, repaired, and weatherized.  We removed the failing aluminum triple-track storm windows, and added new premium-quality metal storms with low-e glass.  We then removed the wood sashes and brought them to our shop.  They were completely stripped, wood repairs made, and repainted.  They were then reinstalled, including new weatherstripping and new chains, and adjusted for proper operation.
